This week, four years ago, we opened the doors on our island home. Since then, you’ve filled our rooftop with stories, laughter and wonderful memories. Now, 1,461 days later, we’re inviting you back for a birthday week of new beers, live music, island whisky and local oysters.
Thursday 22 October: A Birthday Beer
Andrew brewed us a birthday beer! MATCHA PALE ALE is a Japanese-inspired pale ale featuring organic matcha green tea, bringing a nutty, sweet pea character. Meet the brewers at the bar, hear the story behind the brew and join us for giveaways from 4–5:30pm.
Saturday 24 October: Whisky & Live Music
From midday, discover our first-ever, extremely limited Jumpinpin Whisky. Distilled from Jumpinpin IPA, it matured in oak for two years above the rooftop bar, soaking in Straddie’s sea breezes, local stories and laughter.
Birthday weekend guests get first chance to purchase a bottle before our webshop release. Jasmine will also be serving whisky cocktails all weekend.
Then The Bentleys return from 3–6pm, bringing five-piece rock, originals, favourites and the rooftop debut of their new release song.
Sunday 25 October: House, Sunset & Straddie Oysters
Come hungry! From midday, Jeff from Straddie Oysters and Chef Alex will be serving up oyster specials, demonstrations and oyster shooters, with freshly shucked local oysters taking centre stage.
Resident DJ Alex is on the decks from midday, playing his final rooftop set before his next adventure. Join us for house music until sunset, overlooking the beautiful Moreton Bay waters our local oysters call home.
