What’s On October

What’s On at the Brewery – October Edition

Spring has arrived, and with it comes one of our busiest months of the year here at Straddie Brewing Co. From Oktoberfest celebrations to our third birthday, the Straddie Arts Trail, and some exciting new beer releases, October is looking like one for the books.

King’s Birthday Long Weekend – Prost to Oktoberfest  – 4th–6th October

We’re kicking things off with a long weekend full of flavour and fun. To celebrate Oktoberfest, we’re tapping Das Straddie Hefeweizen, our Bavarian-inspired wheat beer that’s best enjoyed with a hearty pretzel and maybe even some singing.

Sunday 5th October – Rooftop Live Music from 3pm with Angie Whiteley. Cocktail Hour running from 3:30–5:30pm.

Monday 6th October – Open all day until 6:30pm for a relaxed long lunch and all-day pizzas.

We’re Turning Three! – Saturday 18th October

It’s hard to believe, but we’re celebrating our 3rd birthday this month. We’ll mark the occasion the Straddie way – with live music, beer shouts, and island vibes. This celebration is for all of you who’ve joined us on the journey so far – we’d love to see you there.

Straddie Arts Trail 2025  – 23rd–26th October

We’re proud to be part of this year’s Straddie Arts Trail, where island artists open their studio doors and creativity takes centre stage.

Thursday 23rd October – Rooftop premiere screening of Spit.

Saturday 25th – Sunday 26th – Our very own can-label designer Gabriel D’hage-Craig will be artist-in-residence at the brewery, creating an original artwork live between the tanks. Come and see the process behind the magic.

Fresh Beers on Tap This Month

October also brings some highly anticipated releases to the taps and fridges:

Centaur Double IPA – The latest in our Shipwreck Series: In Pursuit of Hoppiness. This bold, hoppy brew honours the Australian Hospital Ship Centaur, tragically torpedoed off Point Lookout in 1943. Release mid October

VCR Sour – Back by popular demand. A lush fruit explosion of Vanilla, Cherry, and Raspberry, with just enough twang. Release late October

Pacific Ale – approachable; sessionable; unmistakably Straddie.  The beer style that compliments everyday Aussie life.

La Belle Saison – sophisticated saison brewed in collaboration with Chef Andy from C’est Bon.

See You at the Brewery

Whether you’re here for live music, local art, or your first taste of a new release, October is the perfect time to stop by. Here’s to beers, birthdays, and island sunsets together.
