VENUE MANAGER

Nine-month contract
Commencing 16 March

Swap traffic lights for Sunsets…that’s our promise. We’re looking for an experienced Venue Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our island venue.

Based on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island), our venue is fast-paced, community-focused and driven by great beer, great food and genuine hospitality. This role suits someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys leading a team from the floor, and is just as comfortable with systems and numbers as they are with people.

The Role

As Venue Manager, you’ll be responsible for both front and back of house operations, ensuring the venue runs smoothly day in, day out. This is a nine-month contract with a competitive salary, and accommodation is available for the right candidate.

About You

You’ll bring:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar fast-paced hospitality venue
  • Strong leadership skills and a calm, organised approach under pressure
  • Proven experience with point of sale systems, rostering, COGS, and inventory management
  • A practical understanding of cost control and operational efficiency
  • A genuine love of hospitality, great beer, and island life.

Most importantly, you’re someone who leads by example, values teamwork, and understands that consistency and care are what turn first-time visitors into regulars.
