Clean Up Straddie

We love Straddie. And we’re guessing by your visit to this page, that you do too. Join us and the Straddie community on Sunday 1st March 2026 to clean up our island home, Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island).

In previous years, the Community Clean Up Day on Straddie has been extremely successful, with on average, 350kg of rubbish (including micro plastics) collected during a morning’s session. Let’s all be a part of the solution!

Details for Sunday 1st March:

We have registration points*** at all three Townships where you can register and collect your rubbish bag/gloves etc:

  • Point Lookout – meet at the top of South Gorge stairs
  • Amity – meet at Bo Beans Coffee / Amity Pavilion
  • Dunwich – meet on the lawn at Straddie Brewing Co

Come on foot or with your 4WD*. There’s lots of beaches to clean.

Registration points will be manned from 8am until 11am. Gloves and waste collection bags will be supplied courtesy of Straddie Brewing Co. Please be mindful of the sun (slip, slop, slap) and bring a water bottle.

After your clean-up effort, please visit our local businesses in each township for a rewarding Straddie beer. Sponsored by Straddie Brewing Co, kick back and relax with a schooner of Pacific Ale at either the Straddie Brewing Co Brewery in Dunwich, the Amity Pavilion at Amity, or the Point Bar at the Point Lookout Surf Club. Cheers to that!

20% discount code** for any registered volunteers that are bringing their car over on the car ferry. Thanks Sealink!

Any questions, please email gday@straddiebrewing.com.au
